LAKE FOREST — Marc Trestman did not rule out either Jay Cutler or Lance Briggs for next Monday night’s game against Dallas, but classified both players as “week to week.”
Cutler said on his radio show last week that he aimed for a return for the Cowboys game. He has not played since suffering a high ankle sprain against the Lions on Nov. 17.
Trestman said the Cutler saw the doctor on Monday but the quarterback has not yet been cleared to practice.
Briggs is “healing” and “progressing,” but it’s still unknown if he will be able to practice. Trestman will know more about both players when the Bears return to the practice field on Thursday after two days off.
Kyle Long played through an ankle sprain in Sunday’s loss to the Vikings. He did not miss a snap. Zack Bowman missed some plays at the end of the game with cramps, but will be fine. Major Wright, who missed the game with a hamstring injury, will also be evaluated on Thursday.
