LAKE FOREST — Charles Tillman (groin) and Brandon Marshall (foot) returned to Bears practice on Friday after missing the previous two days of work. Tillman is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Saints and Marshall is probable.
Tillman said he is making progress and feels better than he did last week. He was limited to 41 of 66 defensive snaps against the Lions.
When asked about Marshall's status, Marc Trestman said, "He came back today and worked so he had limited participation. I would expect him to play.”
Stephen Paea (toe) and Anthony Walters (hamstring) missed practice for the third day in a row. Walters is out for Sunday while Paea is questionable. Paea told reporters that he expects to play on Sunday. The other options at defensive tackle, in addition to Nate Collins, include Zach Minter and Landon Cohen.
"We’ve been working all our guys in there," Trestman said. "We’ve got our new guys in there; Landon’s been working in there, Nate’s been working in there, Corey [Wootton] works inside, [David] Bass has been working as well, and we’ll see where we are tomorrow.”
Sherrick McManis (quad) and D.J. Williams (illness) both practiced in full and are probable for Sunday, along with Martellus Bennett (shoulder).
For the Saints, Brodrick Bunkley, Lance Moore, Mark Ingram, Roman Harper and Tyrunn Walker were all ruled out for Sunday. Keenan Lewis and Tom Johnson are questionable.
